Hi, folks! Today I plan to share my rasta-experience after visiting infinite party La Ceiba in Honduras. Brief conclusion - for some reason it’s not easy to get really good🍀cannabis buds or hash in La Ceiba in an “oldschool way”, but options do exist. Below I describe what is going on with weed in La Ceiba.
So, I just touched down back home from La Ceiba a couple of days ago, still got that fresh buzz in my head as I’m sparking up this joint of girl scout cookies strain. Man, La Ceiba was lit — couldn't have had a better time without those dank buds keepin' me company.
Weed Laws in Honduras: The Real Deal
Alright, let’s break it down — Honduras ain’t playin' with their weed laws. If you’re thinkin' you can just stroll into a shop and cop some high-THC weed in La Ceiba like you do in the Netherlands, nah fam, think again. You won’t find any legit spots sellin' anything with enough THC to get you lifted. You might see some medical stuff, but that CBD ain't gon' do nothin'.
Met this dude Joe in the hotel bar. He’s been around the La Ceiba block, knows what’s up with the ganja scene out here. Turns out, while the rules are strict on paper, the cops ain't always on it like that.
What Happens If You Get Caught with Weed?
In La Ceiba, if you have a little bit of weed with you (less than 10 grams), you probably won’t get into big trouble. The police might take it away, but they usually won’t arrest you. It’s still a good idea to be careful and not smoke cannabis in public in La Ceiba.
So where do smokers purchase weed in La Ceiba?
Despite the fact that I did not have any problems with weed in La Ceiba because of Joe, he told me how everything works (and not only with cannabis).

Attitude of La Ceiba locals to weed
You already know that good non-medical marijuana with high % THC is not something you can officially buy in a branded cannabis shop in La Ceiba, but this does not mean locals are too much against weed 😃. Youngsters and students are definitely those who share their love of cannabis and welcome new smokers in their circles. They can not imagine a good party without having a joint or two, while it’s hard to join them if you are already a “25+ old man”.
In general smoking some occasional joint after a long working week is a pleasant tradition among many people in La Ceiba, so no one will point fingers at you seeing how you are smoking weed, but better to avoid doing this publicly just not to bring useless attention.
The overall attitude of locals to weed is rather relaxed, so you may even feel yourself home in La Ceiba after one good joint, telling this from my own experience. Joe shared with me a joint of simply perfect sativa (while he did not know the exact strain). We were smoking outside the bar, and saw other guys doing the same on the other side of the street 😁 So I can definitely say that smoking weed is rather popular in La Ceiba.
I’ve asked Joe if he may share contacts of his dealer, cause stuff was out of this world. He told me that his exact dealer does not work with new people, so he will be my dealer during my vacation, which was simply perfect. I wish everyone to find your own Joe in some bar of La Ceiba.
